UPDATE-23/12/10 FINALLY A MEDIA BIGSHOT HAS AGREED WITH MY OBVIOUS CONNECTION.DERRYN HINCH IN HIS BLOG IDENTIFIES THIS COP AS THE ONE WHO BEDDED THE DIKILEAKS GIRL AFTER PLYING HER WITH ALCOHOL AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE. IN A DISGRACEFUL ABUSE OF TRUST, HERS, AND HER FAMILIES, THE BOOK NEEDS TO BE THROWN AT THIS DISGRACED POLICEMAN

A Victorian policeman charged with having sex with a 17-year-old girl can be named.

UPDATED TODAY 25/02/2011

The Victorian Police Association may fund the legal defence of an officer accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl.

Senior Constable Luke Alexander Donoghue, 34, is charged with procuring a child under supervision or care for sexual penetration, procuring a child under supervision or care for an indecent act, misconduct in public office and supplying alcohol to a minor.

He has been suspended without pay.

On Friday, he appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court for a committal mention hearing.

His barrister Tom Moisidis asked that the case be adjourned for three weeks while an application for police association funds was processed.

“Mr Donoghue may be entitled to funds from a certain body … the Police Association,” he said.

Mr Moisidis said the matter would be reviewed by the association next week.

He said if the application was granted it may mean that Donoghue would change solicitors to the firm preferred by the Police Association. This may cause a delay to the case.

The case was adjourned until March 18.

Donoghue had been based at a police station in Melbourne’s southeast.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between September 30 and October 24 last year when the girl was pregnant.

  1. I heard on the news yesterday that he was stationed at Cheltenham police station. This was broadcast before his name was released today. Some of them think the uniform makes them immune from detection and prosecution. At least one has been caught and will no longer be able to wield his ‘power’.

    1. Hi Kathy, you have worked out who he bedded haven’t you. Derryn Hinch wrote about it today but I knew this days ago and hinted at it yesterday…

      1. Hi Robbo,

No, I hadn’t worked out who the alleged victim was in this case. I am shocked as there now appears to be far more to this ‘Dickileaks’ story. Been very busy this past week, and have only heard snippets of news, including the location of the policeman charged. I always listen to ABC 774 usually in the car.

I feel sad for this girl, because at such a young age, she has really hit out now, which is obviously a consequence of being exploited and ‘used’. Unfortunately, this will have far reaching consequences for her for a very long time. There must have been something lacking in her life for her to take the path she has, and one might question the parenting and guidance given to her.

  2. I thought this article on yahoo news and seems plenty of similar stories on 20th December just about gave it away.

    The story begins
Police have confirmed a senior constable has been suspended amid allegations he had sex with a teenager who lodged a sexual misconduct complaint against AFL players.

The AFL and St Kilda Football Club in May cleared two players of inappropriate behaviour after allegations they had sex with a teenage schoolgirl, who fell pregnant.

Guilty until proven innocent huh Robbo?

From what I’ve seen so far in the Dickileaks saga I wouldn’t trust a single word this chick says.

  4. I’m amazed that you make your mind up on someone’s guilt based on whether or not the police charge them and without hearing a shred of evidence in court.

Especially when the *alleged* victim is already a proven liar and someone who openly claims to set out to destroy people’s lives when she feels hard done by.

    1. Thanks Dave I appreciate your opinions, I don’t base mine on any one thing but on information I gather together. I do have a few confidential contacts around the traps that come in handy!

    2. Dave – cops don’t charge cops unless the offending is so blatant that they have no choice. I thought all thinking beings in Australia knew that… And so you know, my brother in law is one, I hear these things. They don’t complain about the offending, they complain about the “stupidity” of a fellow cop offending so carelessly that something has to be done about it.

    3. Dave, you’re doing the same thing. Accusing her of being a liar when all the “facts” have not yet surfaced.
This girl, despite having admitted to sexual liaisons with some high profile persons, did not initially seek this attention.
She found herself pregnant, told her school principal, who, under the rules of duty of care, reported it to education board and police. Thus AFL were notified. Police became involved and then all the bad mouthing friends and her one contact at the Herald Sun became involved – thus this frenzy.
It became ugly as the matter snowballed and it would appear threats were made against her to ‘go away’ and so she turned and faced the fire by putting herself right in the front line.
It’s no doubt going to be a complex, intricate, plot-thickens story and while the young girl at the centre of it is emotionally young, she’s highly intelligent and by all rights should not just crawl under a rock and disappear, leaving all those in the wrong to carry on untainted and glorified…
The policeman in this case behaved innapropriately toward a minor and a person in his care, taking advantage of someone already so vulnerable.
The pressure placed on anyone in such a situation is enormous (and in this case she is receiving death threats and violent hate messages/mail/wishes and it goes on). It’s astounding how much violence has been incited in men and women toward this girl who simply stood up for herself. Most people do just ‘walk away’ and there are many ‘criminals’ walking amongst because of it.

If a cop behaves so appallingly toward a victim where do any of us turn when we need them? Thank God Vic Police are not like the AFL who furiously protect their own at any cost just to save their image. It’s a crime.
And I for one have far more respect for police for protecting my interests by addressing the bad seeds among them.

      1. Dakota,

I agree with most of your initial comments. But find it interesting that when the AFL player stories regarding the girl first hit the twitter/facebook/internet the HERALD SUN stayed EXCEPTIONALLY quiet on the story and didnt publish anything or help the girl push her claims. In fact the only magazine that touched the girl was WHO Magazine.

It is only since Nixon’s involvement that the papers are jumping over themselves. Nixon may be vile and it appears many people want him out, but the repercussion are that if he goes down he will take EVERYONE with him.

Herald Sun arent interested in the girl. They want Nixon. They want him because of all the shit/arrogance he has given their reporters/owners in the past.

The frenzy has nothing to with the Girl although to get to Nixon HS may be indicating this.

If you read some of the articles I also wonder how implicated the reporter AD is. If true, the girl rang HS in the early hours of the morning advising she was with RN doing cocaine. As she was underage, shouldnt Reporter have rung the police and protected her, not waited for the photos and thus ensuring/protecting his story?

ALL repeat ALL THE ETHICS IN THIS SITUATION ARE WRONG IRRESPECTIVE OF PARTY.

  6. I agree ADC – there’s corruption and collusions of the sordid kind occuring between all parties.
HS want their story and AFL is a big ticket item for the papers/tv stations etc.
They pay the bills so to speak. Not surprised everyone treading carefully what they reported.
Nixon however is that one step removed and easier to target.
The ‘girl’ peddling her own campaign against all parties, seeking her own form of justice, using herself as a weapon to press the point.
There appears to be many more wrongs in this than have been published. I daresay we only know the crux of it.
Interesting times ahead. My suspicion is this will get dealt with ‘softly’ which in turn might just fuel the fire at the young girls end.
What she might have ‘up her sleeve’ pending this is anyone’s guess.

No one saw this one (nixon) coming. Or did we?

As for Nixon I’m confused as to how exactly he, given he has committed the very same crime as Luke D is accused of, hasnt yet been hauled in and laid with the same charges.
    It’s all very curious.

And on the subject of Luke D, he sought adjournment of his case this friday in order to have police union ‘pay the bill’ – (something to this effect) How is this not a conflict of interest given it was VicPol who brought the charges against him?

St K girl was in Melb Magis court on Friday 25/2. It seems she attended the hearing but not sure if it was of her own accord or as required.

So many angles to this story.
All of us hoping truth prevails…whatever truth is in such a twisted plot.

    1. Hi Dakota

I see movie deals down the track here. Your Underbelly types do not seem to care how much truth lies beneath the story, as long as it has a saucy theme in some way. A fly on the wall could tell as so much more, on all these inner dealings wih the main players here. Off the record on the record, reporters not willing to go the full distance for fear of losing vital contacts in the industry, some are, protracted protection for some and not others, whilst some get hung out to dry, the list goes on. One thing for sure is, that a hell of a lot of money is going down the drain before any of this gets sorted out.
